Photo Essay Contest

Contest Topic: Living

From a newborn baby, lonely old-aged people living by themselves, to the hectic life that city people experience, photograph a series of 5 photographs of what you see as life. Open your senses and let your creativity flow while staying true to the essence of the story that you wish to tell.

Student category: Full time students from 16 - 25 years old
Open category: 18 years and above

This contest is open to all Singaporeans and PRs. Contest opens from 15 June - 10 July 2008.

Rules & Regulations

The Photograph must have been taken within six (6) months prior to the end of the Contest term.
The Photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted Photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the Photograph; nor does the Photograph substantially take form or colourably imitate the work of someone else.
Obscene, provocative, or otherwise objectionable content will not be considered, and such determination is solely at the discretion of Main Sponsor or Producer.
A photograph that has already won any prize or distinction in another competition will not be eligible for entry. Any photograph that has been published or sold commercially (whether directly or via agency intermediary) will not be eligible.
You must prepare to provide Producer or Main Sponsor with the original high-resolution capture as it was recorded by camera with no manipulation applied (e.g., *RAW, *JPG). Failure to provide such a file on request may result in disqualification.
You may crop the Photograph before submission. The actual representation of a natural form, image or phenomenon must be maintained. Altering the Photograph in any way using Photoshop techniques, multiple exposures, compositing is not permitted.

Voting

Voting is open from 11 - 14 July 2008. During this period, the photo submission is closed and the photo contestants are not able to update their entries anymore. Each voter can cast an unique vote for 1 contestant in Student category and 1 contestant in Open category.

Representatives from both theredtree and Canon Singapore.
